Behind the Signal, we’re a small and incredibly passionate team who started Alter Aspect with one goal — to create products with meaning.

Products that aren’t only cool, but can also inform, inspire, and entertain — gear and tools that might help people find their way in this strange, noisy modern world we live in.

Sometimes that meaning comes through a philosophy or an idea.
Sometimes it’s found in the comfort of an armour-clad hoodie.
Sometimes it’s just a few words read at the right moment — words that stay with you long after.

Our art style is a reflection of the worlds that raised us — street art, anime, comic books, and video games.

Though we use AI assistance to enhance parts of our workflow, every product is crafted and finalised by real human artists and designers — professionals who care deeply about what we make and why.

As retrofuturists, we take fragments of the past — the energy of the 80s, 90s, and 00s — and fuse them with the sci-fi grit of the future to face the challenges of our modern-day dystopia.
